Manager Governance DPMO B&W Westpac Banking Corporation, Sydney, Australia
Job Description How will I help?
We're looking for a PMO Governance Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring that all transformation delivery teams stay aligned with our Group Transformation Policy and Standards. In this role, you'll drive key deliverables and changes affecting your portfolio, update capability requirements, and uplift skills needed to support transformation delivery. You'll also take the lead on key reporting that ensures value realisation and the effective management of change execution risk.
You'll be joining the Divisional Portfolio Management Office (DPMO), a team that supports Business, Delivery, and Risk teams by strategically shaping the portfolio to focus on executive and board commitments. You'll monitor and report on portfolio health at various levels and ensure compliance with governance requirements.
In this role, you'll support the portfolio by managing change requests, ensuring compliance, and conducting end-of-month reviews. You'll compile important IRC/QBR packs and handle GEMS and Change Control activities. Regular follow-ups across portfolios and facilitating discussions around BSR, APD, and QBR will be key responsibilities. You'll also be responsible for reviewing and managing BAU governed project requests and attending GTO updates to cascade important information back to portfolios.
You'll be accountable for maintaining strong engagement with key stakeholders, providing line of sight on deliverables, and reporting requirements. Effective communication of process enhancements and reporting needs will help manage change execution risk across the division. You'll also play a crucial role in supporting the reporting requirements at both divisional and Group levels, ensuring risk and issue management frameworks are consistently applied across portfolios.
What's in it for me?
You'll play a significant part of the future of a business that has been around for over 200 years. Our purpose is to create better futures together. So, we'll back you in the development of your career, internal career prospects, and flexible working. You'll also keep learning to grow your career, backed by a fantastic team of people with a can-do, supportive structure. Whatever shape your family takes, we offer generous paid and unpaid parental leave for your nominated primary and support carers. This includes leave to organise adoptions, surrogacy, and foster care arrangements. And we continue to pay your super contributions while you take all the time you need to get your new family settled.
What do I need?
To succeed in this role, you'll need at least 5 years of experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships and leading change delivery in a business environment. You have experience working with diverse communication and stakeholder groups, especially in influencing senior stakeholders.
We're looking for someone with strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a knack for problem-solving. You'll need to be resilient, adaptable, and thrive in ambiguous situations. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
What is it like to work there?
We are a collaborative team of passionate people with a shared ambition to make a difference for our customers, our communities and each other.
