Do you want a high-flying career working for the world's largest Air Services provider? We have an exciting opportunity available for a Manager, Facilities to join our high performance national team based in one of our operational locations of SYD / MEL / PER / BNE on a full-time permanent basis. As we are a multi-unit company, some interstate travel will be required.
More about this role: To put it simply, as the Manager, Facilities you will be responsible for effectively managing the planning and maintaining of our portfolio of facilities nationally. Requirements of the role  include overseeing major capital projects such as renovations, fitouts and expansions, engaging, supervising and reviewing third party contractor works, and completing routine preventative maintenance programs.
In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are: Lead the effective lifecycle of company units, equipment and associated assetsLead and develop macro property maintenance plans and service deliveryManage and motivate our national team of Maintenance Coordinators.Respond to any emergencies and urgent matters that require escalation.Strategic management and operational control of procurement for our energy and waste portfoliosOversee tender processes alongside our Procurement Team for new projectsAssist the National Business Manager - Facilities, Fleet & Projects with any case submissions for suggested works (costings, repair logs, maintenance reports)  Manage 3PL and allocation of external resources relating to contracted works, which may include Engineers, Architects and Designers.  Liaise with Operational Managers at each site to ensure correct supervision and coordination of contractor works and provide feedbackWork with suppliers on green energy options, environmental initiatives and other sustainable practices before, during and after construction of facilities.Continuously review and implement improvement to workflow, productivity and qualityDrive business improvements and efficiencies to meet budget and cost reductionRegular review of all plant and equipment and provide reporting on findingsEnsure all buildings meet up to date compliance codes and legislation, whilst creating a safety-first work culture and environment.What do you need to be successful in securing this role? Proven experience in a similar roleDevelopment and Implementation of maintenance strategies for industrial property Previous demonstrated experience with supervising multi-site staffStrong understanding of best practices especially managing compliance and riskManaged or worked with capex budgets 10M and aboveAdvanced computer literacy skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong work ethic, proactiveness and problem-solving ability.Knowledge of food manufacturing or logistics industries are advantageous.Competent in documentation and records management.Broad commercial skills and strong business acumen.Tertiary qualifications / Degree or Masters in relevant fields.As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.What's in it for you?
