This role is part of the Expense Management team in the Finance Function. Working with a group of professionals this role is accountable for delivering strong expense management, capability uplift and financial control through the adherence to policies, processes, and standards; provide financial insights and advice to help our business leaders achieve target outcomes; and build and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders.
The Expense Management team performs activities including month end close, forecasting, analytics, and investment management and partnering. It also delivers services for Group Functions, Lines of Business (LOB), Divisions and the Group. You will support the Director, Expense Management to uplift capability for Groupwide expense management through enhancement of expense management services across the financial management cycle and partner with key stakeholders to empower the group to deliver on cost accountabilities.
Responsibilities: Support the delivery of timely, accurate and insightful management reporting to the Group Executives, General Managers, and relevant business partnersSupport the rationalisation and automation of material entries to support earlier close of resultsUplift transparency and efficiency in cost attribution and allocation processesSupport the execution of risk management and financial control (including SOx) requirements in line with all financial standards, policies, frameworks, and standardsSupport the standardisation, simplification, and automation of report production processes into digital solutionsSupport enhanced monthly cost drivers (unit costs, volume or agreed services) and linkages to financialsPrepare standard analytics and insights for the appropriate financial views for performance management and accountability (BAU, Investments, Scorecards, Attributions and Allocations)Contribute to the production of the Group's Corporate reporting, preparation of divisional and Group expense disclosures, and insights for costsSupport Expense Management team to provide Finance Partners with:automated forecasting and planning processes, utilising drivers and digital capabilitiesprovision of scenario modelling and analytics of the financial impacts of business operational and strategic actions, productivity initiatives, decisions, competitive and economic factorstimely and accurate ad-hoc financial information and analysis to meet customer requirements What's in it for me?
