Opportunity to gain experience supporting the Chief Executive Officer of EnergyCo Internal Expression of InterestTemporary full-time role up to October 2025Located in the Chief Executive's Office in Sydney CBDSalary from $139,787 to $161,663 plus super and leave loadingOur EnergyCo NSW Office of the Chief Executive is currently seeking to appoint a Manager Executive Coordination to coordinate and support the Chief Executive and provide the EnergyCo leadership team high-quality executive, operational and project support services.
The role is responsible for the management of the Chief Executive Office approvals processes, provision of strategic advice, project management support, identification of continuous improvement opportunities and provides a key point of contact for both government and non-government stakeholders.
About You To be successful in the role you will have experience in supporting the management of sensitive/contentious issues and acute risks, including leveraging knowledge and advice of senior executives and experts within your organisation and key partners in the broader government organisation while maintaining privacy, confidentiality and adhering to legislation and relevant government policies.
You have the demonstrated ability to maintain a capacity to work across a wide range of subjects, providing high level and quality analysis and advice often at short notice and under pressure through high-volume activities and competing urgent requests by demonstrating strategic focus, measured approach and professional composure.
You are a confident communicator with the ability to manage consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, given the need to balance competing interests and demands which are often changing and unpredictable.
Ideally, you will have relevant experience in one or more of the following fields: business administration, human resources, finance, risk and assurance, audit, corporate governance, legal, government policy, ministerial services, and/or secretariat and have practical knowledge of the working of government and its processes.
Essential requirements Degree in a relevant discipline and/or relevant experience working with senior management in government or private sector.For more information read the full Role Description: Manager Executive Coordination Who we are The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government's Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state's electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State's first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
