As the Manager of Economic Development, you will be at the forefront of driving strategic initiatives to foster Hobart's economic growth.
You will lead a team responsible for investment attraction, business support programs, smart city technologies, and community safety measures, ensuring Hobart's economy continues to flourish.
Role accountabilities include:
Lead the implementation of the City's Economy Strategy, driving economic growth and business development.Design and evaluate economic research projects to stay informed of local, national, and international trends.Collaborate with state and federal governments to attract investment and promote Hobart's knowledge economy.Provide expert strategic advice on business initiatives, smart city technology, parking and kerbside management, and community safety.Represent Hobart's interests with business, industry, and academia at strategic and policy levels.Promote the City's economic development efforts to the wider community and stakeholders.Inspire a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and service excellence within your team.You're a highly experienced leader in economic development with a background in business support and investment attraction.
Holding a relevant degree, you excel at delivering innovative projects and building strategic relationships.
With strong communication skills and a focus on continuous improvement, you motivate teams to achieve results.
A driver's licence is required, and postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
