And we've been doing it for over 170 years.If we do our job well, we genuinely add to the prosperity of our country and its people.How you'll make an impactThis role is responsible for contributing to the definition and implementation of the North digital strategy and development roadmap. A primary focus of the role is to create intuitive digital experiences so advisers can efficiently deliver their advice and engage with their clients. In the role, you will be focused on sharing your digital and financial product expertise, your deep understanding of advisers, customers and their needs and using your experience to identify digital product and feature gaps and opportunities that will formulate the product strategy for your Adviser and Client Engagement value stream. You will work collaboratively with our Operations, Technology, Distribution and Marketing and Adviser representative groups to carve out a digital platform and product solutions. You will have an intimate understanding of how to deliver, measure and report on customer and adviser needs and value.Main Focus Areas:ProductLead the delivery of digital product initiatives from ideation, opportunity and risk assessments, product discovery, prioritisation, iterative delivery, launch and product optimisation. Key focus areas include: Develop the digital product roadmap for your initiatives and prioritise these to ensure the most important features are delivered based on business priority. Development of the roadmap includes:Engaging internal and external business stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to ensure their views and strategic initiatives are reflected in the roadmap and upcoming deliverables.Participating in adviser and client feedback sessions.Conducting industry and competitor analysis including reviewing annual industry reports.Supporting business case development and approval including benefits analysis based on measurable metrics.Lead the execution of assigned digital product initiatives, including:Breakdown digital roadmap into epics and features that can be picked up by the digital product managers and delivery teams for the development of project briefs and user stories.Work closely with technology team architects and developers to design and implement new features/offers.Approval of business requirements/stories.Approval of user acceptance testing and scenarios.Active participation in agile ceremonies with the delivery team.Approval of go/no-go prior to implementation releases.Work with distribution and marketing to support go-to-market activities for enhancements and product launches including adviser and client communications, webinars, public website and social media campaigns, collateral updates, media launches.Work with change management teams to roll out new initiatives to internal teams including call centre, operations, and distribution teams so they can service advisers and clients.Identify Objectives & Key Results and provide insights on the satisfaction & take up of existing or new features.DesignPlay a key role in ensuring project stakeholders understand the key tasks required to deliver quality designs and outcomes.Ensure project plans have captured the required design tasks and assist with the completion of these tasks (as required).Conduct usability testing and gathering feedback (with both internal & external stakeholders).Following a user-centric design approach and rapidly testing and iterating.Illustrate design ideas through user storyboards and mock-ups.Develop low-fidelity and high-fidelity interactive designs and prototypes around adviser and customer needs.Communicate design ideas to customers, advisers, business stakeholders and developers.Provide input into the development of the North Design System & Processes.Educate cross-functional teams and ensure the North Design System & Processes are being followed.What you will bring to the teamIdeally, you will bring the following experiences to this role:Demonstrated experience in the Australian wealth management market (5+ years) across products, platforms, superannuation, and retirement income products.Demonstrated experience in product/platform management, development & implementation (5+ years).Proven ability to undertake strategic analysis and present findings to key stakeholders. Good quantitative and interpretation skills.Demonstrated experience in Agile development as a product owner/manager with the ability to help embed and maintain practices across agile teams (3+ years).Demonstrated experience in the execution of technology projects from design through to implementation including:Understanding of website usability principles.Experience in customer experience mapping and user-centred design principles.Experience in developing online channels for B2B and B2C engagement.Knowledge of IT architecture, including web development, in a financial services environment.Strong understanding of platform operations processes, activity, and business drivers.Understanding of Project Management principles.Understanding of sales and administration processes - front office and back office.You'll thrive here if...If you can adapt from BAU to the ambiguous with ease, you'll do well here.
