The People Safety, Culture and Communications (PSCC) group provides a range of services across the employee lifecycle to ensure the department has a workforce that is flexible, highly skilled, safe and representative of the community it serves. PSCC is responsible for human resources, payroll, recruitment, occupational health and safety, industrial relations, learning and development, diversity and inclusion and employment regulations.
About the Role: The Transformation, Development and Capability business unit is responsible for transformation and learning and development to support employees. The Manager Design is a member of the Department of Justice and Community Safety within People, Safety, Culture and Communications team. The role is responsible for managing and leading the design and development of training to the Youth Justice business unit.
Some of your duties will include:
Managing the design and delivery of learning strategies and solutions to build staff capability, ensuring alignment with current and emerging organisational needs.Leading a small team responsible for delivering comprehensive learning and development programs while offering high level consultancy to Youth Justice leaders.Driving the design process, from scope, and the design, development, endorsement and approval of learning initiatives.About You: As an ideal candidate, you will possess:
Expert level of experience and application of learning and development contemporary practices.Technical application of strategic design and contribution to strategic decision-making processes related to design and development.Proficiency in the development of innovative learning approaches to meet the established corporate objectives including the formulation and implementation of local business plans.Experience in identifying and responding to new and emerging issues with sustainable, fit-for-purpose learning solutions that can be effectively deployed in the operating environment. This includes utilising software including, but not limited to, Adobe suite, Microsoft suite, Articulate Rise and Storyline, Lectora, Captivate and Nexus.Qualifications: An undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business or relevant area is desirable.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or Diploma of Training Design and Development.Current Working with Children Check (WWWC) card is required and will need to be provided prior to commencement of employment by the applicant.
