The Opportunity Join us in a newly created role as the Manager of Data Integration and Digital Platforms at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Reporting to the Associate Director Enterprise Services, you will lead a talented team responsible for strategically planning, directing, and delivering operational excellence in our Data Centres, networks, client systems, and IT infrastructure—both on-premises and in the cloud.
Your role will drive the development of standards, policies, and innovative practices, ensuring their effective implementation across our university-wide IT systems.

You will lead the effective management of our infrastructure and network operations, security, availability and backup ensuring these meet the needs of today and prepares us for tomorrow; drive quality control, risk management, and best practices by developing and implementing performance indicators, IT policies, and documentation that keep us running smoothly; play a key role in shaping our future by offering expert technical advice and insights to support strategic planning and budgeting, collaborating closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners. You will possess: Significant experience managing IT infrastructure and networks across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments, including external interfaces. Extensive experience leading cloud transformations and successfully transitioning workloads to cloud-native environments. Hands-on expertise in managing infrastructure or networks within large, complex, multi-location organisations. Proven ability to understand business needs and develop innovative, scalable solutions within challenging environments. Strong communicator, able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Experience applying ICT best practices, such as ITIL, to enhance IT service delivery. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, maintain confidentiality, and foster a positive team environment through empathy, diplomacy, and respect.
