In this key role you will work collaboratively with data stewards, data custodians, data management professionals and subject matter experts across Cbus to ensure that data, analytical models and systems are well governed and can support business goals and objectives. This is a senior role that is responsible for promoting a consistent data governance framework across the organisation (including the Investments, Member and Enterprise domains).Working closely with internal and external stakeholders you will advocate strong data and insights governance principles and provide practical, relevant advice and guidance on improving the governance of data and reporting ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities for data owners, data stewards and data custodians, so the ability to lead and influence stakeholders is key.You and your team will ensure that content authored in Power BI is managed and governed appropriately and ensure data is clean, reliable, high quality, accurate, timely, accessible and governed effectively.You will help improve data access and transparency (mapping and documenting data in use, specifying SLAs for delivery and quality and procedures for management) while ensuring access to restricted data is managed appropriately.A key element of your role will be to educate business teams on data governance, clarifying what it encompasses and the role each team member plays in its implementation.You will oversee the maintenance of the Cbus Information Register and liaise with stakeholders to refine and promote the data retention policy and develop a data risk management framework and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards such as CPS230 and CPS 234.To be successful you will have a proven background in data and system governance, data quality and/or model governance with extensive knowledge and understanding of data governance and stewardship including models / frameworks, practices & techniques, processes, tools & technologies and industry trends.You will have proven capability in managing staff with a broad range of technical skills across databases, data analytical tools and data governance with a commitment to delivering well governed innovative solutions.Demonstrated success in governing significant data, modelling &/or technology projects for the financial services / superannuation industry will also help you succeed.Ideally you will also be experienced in interpreting, manipulating and analysing data in relational databases using SQL to ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness.This is an excellent opportunity to join a high performing team and have a real impact.Belong at CbusWe value difference, and embrace people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, gender identities, abilities and thinking styles.
