This is a permanent part-time (0.8 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2025One Arm Point Remote Community School (OAPRCS) is a K-12 school in Ardyaloon (One Arm Point), an Aboriginal community 210km north of Broome on the Dampier Peninsula in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia.OAPRCS has woven into the tapestry of the wider community to function at full potential within the remote context.

Students are supported & encouraged to reach their academic potential & staff are committed to helping students become strong, proud & resilient members of society.Find out more about our school by visiting The RoleWe are seeking a Manager of Corporate Services (MCS) that would ideally be able to reside in Ardyaloon Community and work alongside the OAPRCS staff as opposed to Regional Office.
This position is 0.8FTE if the MCS is based at Regional Office in Broome.
There is the opportunity for 1.0FTE if based in Ardyaloon Community.
If the successful applicant choses to reside in Ardyaloon at 1.0FTE, they will be eligible for a 3-bedroom GROH house as per conditions below.
There is no rent charge and electricity is subsidised.
Please indicate your preference(s) of FTE on your application.As the MCS, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial, physical, and human resource aspects of the school's business operations, and supervising all school support staff.
You will work closely with the Principal and other members of the school's leadership team to ensure the school's operations are running smoothly and efficiently.Your duties will include monitoring and reporting on the financial integrity of the school's operations, providing operational input to financial planning and budgeting, including the diverse funding entities for which the school is responsible, and providing operational input to the development of the financial aspects of the school business and marketing plans and monitoring the school's performance against the plans.In addition, you will participate in school-based and Regional committees and working groups to ensure alignment with the school's business targets and objectives, administer financial, administrative, and information systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Departmental policies and guidelines, and undertake minor research and project work in relation to business trends and issues which may impact the operation of the financial, physical or human resource aspects of the school's operational business.You will also provide effective human resource management of the school support staff, give input to the development of school business and marketing plans, and develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Want to know more?Full details of the role, selection criteria and training requirements are listed in the attached Job Description Form (JDF).For more information about this opportunity, please contact Vivienne McDermott, Deputy Principal on (08) 9171 9400 or emailing Equity and DiversityWe are committed to an inclusive and culturally responsive workforce reflecting the diversity in our schools and the Western Australian community.
