The program will deliver functionality through several releases and a large multi-disciplinary team.About the roleThe Manager, Contracts role is responsible for the development and management of contract management plans for HCM Program delivery partners (suppliers). The role requires establishing strategic supplier relationships, overseeing contract performance and minimising risks to successfully meet business outcomes. The responsibilities include:Developing frameworks, strategies, and systems to improve contract management efficiency and enhancing supplier relationships.Creating and executing Contract Management Plans with KPIs, risk management, performance monitoring, and intervention strategies.Leading complex negotiations on contract variations, renewals, and disputes to achieve favourable procurement outcomes.Ensuring compliance with legislative developments and reforms to mitigate risks impacting procurement policies and supplier schemes.About youAbility to effectively establish and maintain strategic stakeholder and supplier relationships.Experience developing and managing contract management plans that focus on clear accountabilities, performance criteria and alignment to department's objectives.Demonstrate understanding of the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework and NSW Government Supplier Schemes for Professional Services and ICT Services.Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.Essential Requirements of the roleKnowledge of and commitment to the department's strategy, policies, processes and procedures.Experience managing Tier 1 suppliers in large, complex business/ICT transformation programs.Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.BenefitsFlexible working arrangements.35 hour working week.Competitive salary sacrificing, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.Flex Leave entitlements, generous holidays & leave conditions.Opportunities for advancement and mobility across the Department to support your career growth.How to applyAttach a resume (maximum 5 pages) and a cover letter (maximum 2 pages) outlining how you meet the requirements and capabilities of this role as well as providing an answer to the following pre-screening question below:Describe the key challenges that are likely to occur in managing Tier 1 suppliers in large, complex business/ICT transformation programs.
