About us
Translink (a Division of TMR) is responsible for enabling the effective planning and efficient management of public passenger transport services in Queensland and engages delivery partners to operate services on its behalf. The Commercial Partnerships unit, within the Passenger Transport Services branch of Translink is responsible for implementing innovative commercial agreements and ongoing contract management of TMR's service contracts and funding agreements.
Key responsibilities Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Lead and develop a team of contract managers and consultants who manage large scale passenger transport service contracts ensuring the obligations from all parties are delivered. Allocate resources for the management of key contracts within the team. Support team members in career development and conducting recruitment activities.
• Build and sustain strong professional relationships with external parties (transport service providers) and internal stakeholders to ensure contracts are managed within required guidelines. Be a key point of contact on behalf of the Department of Transport and Main Roads to monitor performance.
• Conduct analysis on contract performance metrics to determine strategies to improve customer outcomes. Provide recommendations to senior executives using evidence-based research.
• Lead negotiations in procurement activities through the development of clear and concise contractual documentation.
• Lead by example by modeling ethical decision-making processes and abiding by government probity requirements.
Requirements of the role
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing a team to meet key deliverables.
• Qualifications in commerce, accounting, economics, or contract administration will be highly regarded.
• Experience in contract management practices will be highly regarded.
• Transport management experience will be desirable.
