Job Overview As a Manager, Content Planning & Scheduling, you will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling and execution of content on our streaming service, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and audience preferences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize content performance and drive engagement metrics. This role requires a blend of analytical skills and strategic thinking to curate compelling content experiences that resonate with our target audiences.
Responsibilities and Duties Take on a managerial role on content scheduling and tagging for Factual/Lifestyle & Kids content.Work closely with the Programming Director to ensure sound programming and scheduling strategies are implemented on an operational level.Manage all requests related to content inventory and be responsible for generating all necessary data/content reports.Ensure consistency in content modeling framework implementation across all content pillars, working closely with other schedulers in the team.Lead discussions with the networks team to align on premieres and release patterns on our streaming platform.Work closely with Content Operations on localization and material delivery to ensure the content is on track for release.Provide input and insights into programming decisions, including content acquisitions, development, and genre diversification, to enhance the overall content strategy.Conduct regular analysis of competitor scheduling strategies, content trends, and industry developments to make well-informed decisions on programming.Timely communication and liaison with internal teams around content release schedules, programming updates, and changes.Qualifications & Experience Education: At least Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in the media or a related field.Prior Experience / Industry: At least 5 years of experience in media, TV networks or streaming business.Must possess knowledge and experience in using programming or promo scheduling systems.Keen knowledge in TV content and streaming services.Demonstrates strong management capabilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results under pressure.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and levels of the organization.High level organizational skills, ability to prioritize and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.How We Get Things Done… This last bit is probably the most important!
