The opportunity:As a Manager Construction & Delivery Standards, you will play a critical role within the Major Projects division, accountable for developing, maintaining and driving the continuous improvement and innovation of the construction standards and methodologies deployed across the Major Projects portfolio and the wider organisation.
You will lead in the establishment of constructions standards relating to 'mega' scale high voltage transmission infrastructure, notably up to 500kv transmission infrastructure, adopting technological advancements and innovations.
You'll provide leadership and direction to the existing Construction Methodologies and Delivery Standards teams, in addition to actively building and further developing these teams, deploying and assuring these disciplines across the division.
Through effective engagement with Senior Leaders across Powerlink, external contract partners and national and international construction and technology businesses, you will play a pivotal role in translating new construction techniques and strategies.
What you'll bring:You will be degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management or Business or lesser qualifications if coupled with extensive construction management experience in the high-voltage (HV) transmission industry.
Proven success leading program or project delivery of large-scale HV infrastructure projects.
Significant experience and relationship management capability with the ability to partner with industry leaders to translate world-class construction solutions into an established organisation, ensuring effective change management to enable innovation are adopted.
As an experienced and inclusive people-leader, you will have proven success in leading teams and driving cohesiveness across the various functions, with skills in coaching, mentoring and developing teams to enable a high-performance team culture.
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects and operational objectives, managing and mitigating risks, monitoring progress, and effectively engaging resources to achieve required outcomes within agreed budget and timeframes.
Demonstrated ability to manage the delivery of an innovation program of works in its various phases of ideation, experimentation and implementation; and application of contemporary innovation management techniques and proof of concept methodologies, including the integration of new techniques and creating a process framework.
