The role of Manager, Conduct, Industrial and Workplace Relations will provide strategic direction and leadership to the workplace relations function of People and Culture, Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Services (DPFEM). Through this opportunity you will shape the future strategic direction of the team to lead a responsive specialist advisory service; and work in an environment where no two days are the same.
This position is currently subject to a Market Allowance of 5%, which is in addition to the stated salary.
Hours per fortnight Duties The role of Manager, Conduct, Industrial and Workplace Relations will provide strategic direction and leadership to the workplace relations function of People and Culture, Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Services (DPFEM). Through this opportunity you will shape the future strategic direction of the team to lead a responsive specialist advisory service; and work in an environment where no two days are the same.
As a member of the DPFEM People and Culture leadership team, this position requires a forward thinking, values-based leadership approach. You will bring to this role extensive experience and/or tertiary qualifications in human resource and workplace relations management, alongside high-level management and leadership skills. You will have high-level interpersonal skills, integrity and professionalism, and be open to expanding your knowledge by staying abreast with best practices.
The position is expected to model high level leadership behaviours. The position will work collaboratively with service arms within DPFEM in relation to the management of workplace relations and emerging industrial matters; alongside with representing DPFEM for union consultation and industrial matters.
To be a strong contender for this role, you will be able to demonstrate a high-level understanding of current best practice, alongside with demonstrated experience in a myriad of workplace relations matters and/or industrial matters, including understanding of the Tasmania Reportable Conduct Scheme. You will be a strategic thinker and have strong collaborative stakeholder management capabilities; and be able to proactively lead a responsive and collaborative team.
