DCJ Statewide Services, Intensive Support Services (ISS) provide a diverse and dynamic work environment with a core focus on supporting children, young people, their carers and families to reach their potential.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Manager Client Services (MCS) to lead the establishment of a new DCJ delivered residential care program in the Greater Western Sydney area, caring for children and young people while a kinship, foster care, or other carer-based placement is identified.
The program is called the Sherwood Program - Western Sydney Hub.

ISS deliver all programs in strong partnership with internal and external service providers.

Your role You will be responsible for developing and leading a committed team, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulatory standards, and driving strategic initiatives to ensure culturally sensitive as well as trauma informed service delivery.

Key accountabilities include: Provide strategic leadership and management to a team of House Managers and carers and represent the Agency in the local community that your program area serves.
Deliver a culturally sensitive, developmentally and trauma informed residential program that meets the needs of children and young people with low to medium needs.
Establish and deliver operational systems and processes including referral and vacancy management, budget tracking and monitoring.
Develop and maintain OCG compliant systems and processes that support delivery of quality care.
Deliver the program within allocated budget.
Build and maintain relationships with Internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following: Extensive knowledge of Out of Home Care and demonstrated capacity to successfully manage teams that deliver positive outcomes for children and young people.
Develop effective strategies and show decisiveness in dealing with emotionally charged.
situations, difficult and controversial issues.
Build and monitor a diverse, culturally sensitive workplace culture that values fair and inclusive practice.
Promote and manage alliances within the organisation and across the public, private and community sectors.
Initiate and develop partnerships with customers to define and evaluate service performance outcomes.
Work through issues, weigh up alternatives and identify the most effective solutions.
Identify resource needs and ensure goals are achieved within budget and deadlines.
Develop team/unit plans that take into account team capability, strengths and opportunities for development.
Address and resolve team and individual performance issues, including unsatisfactory performance in a timely and effective way.
To be eligible to apply you must have: Tertiary qualification in a social work, social/Behavioural Science, Welfare or related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.
