As Manager, Child Safeguarding, this role supports the underlying Mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Lismore by delivering services that contribute to enabling students to achieve the fullness of life.
Work Requirements: A current/valid Australian Driver's LicenceHold a valid NSW Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain if successfulA National Police Check, or ability to obtain if successfulRequirement to travel between locations.Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications e.g. Bachelor or Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services or Social Welfare, Psychology, or Behavioural Science or another relevant area of study.Work Experience: In-depth understanding of the NSW Child Safe Standards.Management and leadership experience.Negotiation, conflict management and interpersonal skills.Key Capabilities: Ability to contribute to strategic planning and to realise progress of operational plans for the service area.Demonstrated capability to provide leadership with appropriate advice and strategies for continual review and improvement of the DLCS Safeguarding Program.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across the DLCS, schools and with external stakeholders.Proven commitment to teamwork, continuous improvement and client service.Plus, the following generic criteria:
