Job Details: SUMMARY: This role undertakes the leadership requirements for managing a team of former defence professionals in coordinating the tactical and administrative requirements for the Combat Training Centre Core Events (CTC CE). The role will be critical for the integrated coordination of specifics to achieve the directed planning outcomes in close coordination with uniformed staff. This exciting role will require an experienced individual to closely coordinate planning efforts to meet customer requirements. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary decision-making authority.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Manage administrative requirements for team members to support program management. Support the personnel management requirements for subordinates. Receive, prioritise and direct delivery requirements in support of CTC CE activities. Identify and adapt to any identified challenges. Support uniformed CTC exercise designers and planners meet task outputs as required by changes in Army priorities or short-notice operational contingencies. Attend and represent CTC at planning conferences and functions where required. Support exercise execution where required. Enable training for uniformed personnel on CTC skills and nuances during annual Planners courses. Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, DRN, DSN, Objective and EXONAUT. Arrange and attend meetings with the customer as required. Prepare and submit progress reports to higher management and to the customer when required. Provide direction and assist in the writing and sequencing exercise Events, Incidents and Injects. Support the production of supporting Advanced Collective Training (ACT) documentation using EXONAUT software, Objective on DRN and DSN. Support the construction and maintenance of structured exercise files IOT enable reference and access. Support the build of EXONAUT structures for the planning and conduct of ACT training activities. Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations. Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures. Other duties as requested. Skills/Experience/Knowledge: Minimum of 15 years military or related experience. Skilled in using Microsoft Office suite of applications. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess broad-based computer skills, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Skilled at team building and consensus building. Pro-active leader who is decisive and action oriented. Personal Qualities: Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a team to achieve directed results.
