Manager, Analysis and Accountability TeamWe have an exciting full-time fixed term temporary role in our Analysis and Accountability Team, located in Herston. Provide strategic leadership and direction for the timely and effective delivery of system wide advanced analytics to enable service improvement; performance monitoring and management; purchasing and planning; program evaluation and research.
The role The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of mental health, alcohol, and other drug strategies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with both Queensland Government priorities and national policies. This role focuses on advancing analytics and digital healthcare capabilities to support statewide service transitions. The incumbent will be responsible for guiding program development through evidence-based approaches, fostering collaboration across government and non-government sectors, and maintaining strong partnerships with key stakeholders. Representation of Queensland Health in various forums will be a key aspect of this position.
Additionally, the role will involve overseeing the management of resources, including human, financial, and physical assets, to achieve targeted business and operational outcomes. The candidate will lead the preparation of high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations, while adhering to departmental policies and public administration law. Effective financial and quality management practices will also be central to ensuring productivity and the successful delivery of strategic priorities.
The successful person To succeed in this role, you will need to have expert knowledge or the demonstrated ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of mental health, alcohol, and other drug-related issues and priorities at both national and state levels. You will also need strong stakeholder management skills, including negotiation, influence, advocacy, communication, and consultation, with the ability to unite the efforts of diverse stakeholders across strategic and operational levels, such as healthcare professionals, government bodies, and non-government organizations.
Moreover, you will need advanced skills in policy, planning, and project leadership, with a proven ability to provide strategic advice on mental health, alcohol, and other drug issues. Strong analytical capabilities are essential, including the ability to analyze, interpret, and present complex data, identify emerging trends, and reconcile data from multiple sources in alignment with service priorities.
