As the Management Accountant, you will develop, implement, maintain, and review strategies to manage and continually improve financial support services whilst meeting the objectives or organisational requirements. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.

About us:This role is one of 6 Management Accountants and 5 Senior Management Accountants who report to the Manager, Management Accounting within the Finance Division. These roles work within allocated portfolios to provide financial support to the hospital and community facilities across the Central Queensland Hospital & Health Service (CQHHS).
About the role:As the Management Accountant, you will be a part of a designated management accounting team required to maintain contemporary knowledge of legislation and standards regarding financial management and budgeting, including activity based funding and financial management policies and procedures to ensure the Business Unit and CQHHS has sound financial governance to comply with regulatory and legislative requirements. Role holders work closely with the Business Units, particularly cost centre managers.
About you:Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in business, accounting, finance or other relevant discipline would be well regarded.
Demonstrated high level organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet key deadlines.Demonstrated ability to identify key issues, analyse and review data, utilise problem solving skills and an ability to develop practical solutions and provide quality advice to address financial management issues.Experience in budget preparation, forecasting, performance reporting, data analysis and resource management for a large, complex organisation.Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and an ability to negotiate, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivate others.What we offer: Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $114,177 p.a. is comprised of:
