Our client is a growing leading civil construction company specialising in the production and placement of asphalt throughout Australia. With 30 years industry experience, we are known for producing high quality asphalt and some of the most innovative products in the Australian market.
The PositionOur client is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a full-time, permanent Management Accountant to join our team. Based in Malaga and reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for providing financial information and reports to the Directors, General Manager, and Engineers.
We are seeking a candidate with exceptional reporting and financial analysis skills, with significant experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. Strong communication skills are essential as this position requires you to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform bank and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy.Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.Manage/Supervise Accounts Payable Officer.Assist, review and finalise monthly claims from Contract Managers.Prepare and submit accurate and timely customer invoices.Prepare and carry out fortnightly payroll.Prepare and provide monthly project Profit and Loss Reports to Contract Managers for their review and analysis.Examine and analyse monthly costs and revenue.Prepare, analyse and present monthly/annual Profit and Loss Reports to Directors, General Manager and Senior Management.Provide EOFY (financial information handover) to the Corporate Accountant.BAS preparation and reporting.Provide Cash Flow statements monthly to Directors and General Manager.Ensure compliance with accounting and legislative requirements.Improve process, business practices and the use of technology for productivity and efficiency.Provide assurance regarding the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements.General accounts administration.Preferred Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this position you should have:
Bachelor of Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
