About the role This role is a Part Time (FTE 0.6) Management Accountant position and will work closely with other members of the Calvary Adelaide Hospital Finance team providing support to the Financial Controller.
Your main duties will include:
Preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and other Month End tasks as required to assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts to Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet stage. Assist in the preparation of EOFY Financial Statements to ensure all external audit requirements are met as required and in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation of Financial Year Budgets and forecasting including liaising with cost centre managers to develop expense and capital expenditure budgets and providing advice and guidance to the cost centre managers in these areas. Maintaining the company Fixed Asset Register including capitalisation of assets and disposal of assets and maintaining the Capital Expenditure register for management review. About you The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce and major in accounting with preferred CPA or CA Qualifications and proven experience in a similar role. Experience in the preparation of budgets and a broad knowledge of the Australian Accounting Standards and principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and strong financial and analytical skills with appropriate experience with financial and IT systems. Excellent time management skills and the ability to adhere to strict timelines whilst managing integrity and accuracy of data. Why work for Calvary? At Calvary, our staff matter.
