The role The Management Accountant is a key member of the finance team, working closely with the Finance Manager and Head of Finance to provide financial information, tools, analysis, and insight to executives. You will be able to challenge thinking and support them to make more informed decisions and drive the overall business strategy.
You will be breaking down the barrier between accountancy and management to support business objectives.
What you'll be doing Prepare and present business-wide financial reports and commercial analysis, simplifying complex financial data for stakeholders to support decision-making.Develop financial models, conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis, and interpret financial data to evaluate strategic options and investment decisions.Provide regular performance reports and presentations, ensuring consistent tracking of objectives and targets.Deliver high-level commercial analysis for medium- and long-term opportunities.Assist in developing business cases for new opportunities, offering financial input and presenting to stakeholders.Collaborate with the Finance Manager and department heads on annual and quarterly budgets/forecasts.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and senior management to drive commercial improvements. What you'll need Commercial experience in consulting, large business, or the retail industry.Strong financial and commercial acumen.Proven expertise in financial analysis and business case development.Experience preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior management.Skilled in reporting and business intelligence tools, with expert proficiency in Microsoft programs.Strong understanding of reporting frameworks and ability to implement requirements for senior management and stakeholders.Experience managing complex responsibilities and competing priorities.
