LifeFlight Australia is seeking a Management Accountant to join our dedicated Finance team. Reporting to the Team Leader, Management Accounting, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate, timely, and relevant reporting, analysis, and insights to drive operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and overall business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Month-End: Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end activities, including the preparation and posting of journals, analysis of key operating revenue and costs, identification of trends, and explanation of key variances against budget/forecast.Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly finance reports for senior management, ensuring compliance with internal, external, and regulatory policies and procedures.Business Partnering: Collaborate with Business Units to review financial performance against budget/forecast, identify risks and opportunities, and support the development of mitigating actions.Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in the enhancement of Finance processes, systems, and ways of working.Budget Coordination: Support the preparation, development, and coordination of the annual budget cycle for relevant Business Units.Statutory Reporting: Assist the Financial Control team with annual statutory reporting requirements, including the provision of information to auditors.Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide support with ad-hoc analysis for various projects, contributing your expertise to drive strategic initiatives.Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with various departments on finance matters, fostering a culture of collaboration and support.Stakeholder Relationships: Develop effective and collaborative relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.About You:
Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Business (CPA/CA qualified or working towards).At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.Excellent working knowledge of accounting systems, standards, and relevant legislation.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.Customer service focus with an ethical and values-based approach.Goal-oriented, results-driven, and highly reliable with a keen eye for detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Enthusiasm for new challenges and the ability to think outside the box.Willingness to accept constructive feedback and convert it into positive actions.Why Join LifeFlight Australia?
