The opportunity that awaits you?
Currently our Finance Department has a permanent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join us, working at our Subiaco Head Office.
Reporting to the Finance Manager - Operations, this role is responsible for preparing, reporting & analysing management accounts for one of our operations, as well as assisting senior business managers with financial decision making.
Key responsibilities include: Manage site month end process, including maintaining cost allocation workbooks, preparation of monthly journals, maintaining the fixed asset register & GL reconciliations. Preparing timely and accurate monthly financial and management reporting and analysis to support multiple business units. Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts and life of mine plans, ensuring accurate inputs and analysis of results as required. Assisting with the Anaplan budgeting tool implementation and ongoing adoption; including working closely with both site staff and the planning team to help ensure a smooth roll out. Facilitate monthly cost reviews with respective department Managers. Working closely with senior leaders to provide financial insight critical to decision-making, including opportunities for cost and other operational efficiencies. Assisting with audits over half and full year reporting periods. Identifying improvements and streamlining opportunities in systems, processes and controls, and implementing appropriate solutions. Ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis, as well as monthly site visits. To succeed in this role?
Your demonstrated experience in delivering best-practice, high-quality outcomes across your portfolio, coupled with a genuine passion for continuous improvement & development personally, will see you as a valued member of the team and hold you in good stead to succeed in this role.
The following will also see you set for success in this role:
A Tertiary Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent, along with CA or CPA accreditation. Significant experience in a similar role, with at least one year post CA / CPA qualification experience, ideally within the Mining or Resources Industry. A background in auditing would be highly regarded. Excellent communication & people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, as well as engage, influence & build strong, functional relationships across your remit. Possess a strong level of computer literacy across the MS Office Suite , with experience using Pronto , as well as Anaplan or a planning system/software would be highly regarded. Target driven & solutions orientated, you think strategically & outside the box to achieve successful outcomes. Improvement focused, with a proactive & agile mindset, you possess strong analytical & problem-solving skills and thrive in a dynamic environment.
