Management Accountant - Central West Queensland Management Accountant – Central West Queensland $110k Base Salary Local Government – Full Time Position RDO Every Fortnight The Client Our client is a well-managed Council located in Central West Qld, a region abundant in nature, culture and heritage.
It features a blend of heritage buildings, museums, and a strong community spirit.
The town is a gateway to the outback, offering a mix of cultural and historical attractions.
The Opportunity The Management Accountant is responsible for enabling the operations of Barcaldine Regional Council to be carried out in an efficient, effective and economical manner, by providing timely and accurate financial information.
The scope of the role includes: Keeping the asset register up-to-date including annual revaluations; Collaborating on the asset management plan; Assisting in development of the annual budget; Reporting to budget owners; Monitoring and reporting on operational and capital expenditure; Maintaining Job Costs register; Annual insurance renewal program; Acquittals for capital grants and programs.
About You Successful applicants will possess the following: A Recognised qualification in Accounting; Demonstrated experience with asset management; Demonstrated experience with setting and monitoring budget.
