Great opportunity to lead programming of major capital works projects in a client-side capacity. You will be tertiary qualified in Construction, Project Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering, along with 8+ years' experience programming major Capex building upgrades $50M+ and new build projects within Healthcare, Defence, Federal Government, State Government, Airports, or Tertiary Education.

Base CriteriaIdeally degree-qualified in Architecture, Construction, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering, along with a strong understanding of Capital Investment Projects.

Outline DutiesLead and manage the programming of capital works projects; you will be responsible for the development of project management documentation. You will drive Business Case development through to project delivery.

Key is the ability to develop and manage detailed project implementation plans, including comprehensive risk analysis, and undertake significant stakeholder management activities - Clinical Directors, Consultants, Executive Leadership, and Technical SMEs.

Skills and AttributesOver 10 years' industry experience, with at least 8 years in Project Planning/Programme Management within an organisation delivering Major Capital Works to a large, complex portfolio - healthcare, defence, university, or similar.Excellent Project Planning skills, able to lead project documentation (including scope of works briefings with the internal team or Consultants), drive Business Cases, and set and agree on proposed project timescales and costings.Able to determine projects' risks – including internal, external, financial, time-sensitivity, or environmental.An excellent communicator with strong English language skills, able to provide clear and concise advice and support to internal stakeholders, along with instructions and seek direction from consultants, and communicate clearly at Director and Executive levels.Innovative and able to deliver new solutions to challenges, ensuring suitable Quality, Governance, Risk, and Compliance frameworks are identified and established to support the project.Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and advise on capital works, design, documentation, and construction.Engaging personality and strong presentation skills – able to network and lead discussions at an executive level while working with a variety of interested parties/stakeholders of varying backgrounds and technical awareness.
