Maintenance Technicians (Electrical/Mechanical - Rolling Stock)Hyundai Rotem Company (HRC) was founded in 1977 and since that time, has been leading the industry globally by delivering critical national infrastructure in over 50 countries. A leader in the Korean rail industry, HRC has succeeded in developing high-speed trains and is now establishing their presence in the Australian market.
Currently, the Australian operation of HRC is working on two major projects:
The New Intercity Fleet (NIF) Project - a joint venture between HRC, UGL and MEA, this project is delivering a fleet of new intercity trains for operation in the NSW electrified rail network. The fleet comprises of 55 Long Units and 70 Short Units for the Newcastle, Blue Mountains, South Coast and Central Coast Lines;The Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) - a project commissioning, designing and constructing a new manufacturing facility in Torbanlea Qld and a new maintenance facility in Ormeau Qld. It includes manufacturing and delivering 65 EMU Train sets (390 cars) by the end of 2031.Combined local and international design teams and suppliers will work together to ensure the delivery of manufacturing requirements and associated documentation to ensure that train sets locally manufactured in Australia meet the design, compliance, manufactuability, reliability, maintainability and safety specifications for the trains operational life for a minimum of at least 35 years.

Role Overview In this role you will:
Be responsible for carrying out Corrective Maintenance and highly skilled repair work.Download, analyse and interpret Train Management System (TMS) train data logs for fault identification and rectification.Be able to undertake rollingstock fault finding tasks based on knowledge of and experience with rollingstock and associated sub-systems.Implement Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and carry out Fleet inspections and associated rework.Ensure trains meet Minimum Operating Standards (MOS) to enable running on the network.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Works under direction/guidance of the KA Maintenance Coordinator & KA Maintenance Team Leader.Ensures that maintenance and corrective work is performed in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions.Undertake tasks and activities outlined to the extent of their education, training, and competency.Ability to work within a team to support routine and complex maintenance, including fault finding activity as outlined in the Daily Work Plan.Complete documentation, including with electronic recording systems, associated with work to the specified standard.Ability to take directions from Team Leader/Maintenance Coordinator and work within a team, or independently as required.Follow all operating procedures designed to manage risks in the Rolling Stock Maintenance environment.Follow all procedures inherent in routine and corrective maintenance programs on rolling stock.Troubleshooting, fault finding and systems testing of rolling stock.Testing & commissioning of rolling stock.Minimum Qualifications Minimum Certificate III qualified in a mechanical or electrical trade (AQF level/assessed).Minimum 2 years' relevant experience post apprenticeship.Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment legislation.Strong communication skills (oral & written) including the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, email.Must be customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven.Technically competent with logical and practical analysis of complex situations.Demonstrated ability to work independently.Capacity to work within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and put to use new skills and knowledge brought about by a rapidly changing working environment.How to Apply Applications must be submitted online via the 'Quick Apply' button.
