We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Coppabella Moorvale Joint venture. Our Coppabella and Moorvale mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay thatproduce premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading the team and managing all planned, breakdown and repair maintenance activities as well as communicating changes that will impact the mine priorities. You will be part of a dynamic team culture contributing to the successful performance of the mine.
Duties will include :
Support management by providing strong leadership, aligned with Peabody's mission, values and strategy Providing practical input into the content of all short and long term maintenance plans for mobile and field equipment Providing leadership, motivation and support to Leading Handsandall roster and dayshift team members, taking accountability for team performance including contractors Executing all preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and shutdown work, minor projects, and reliability improvement initiatives Reducing equipment downtime by ensuring all maintenance activities are planned, manned and carried out to a high standard, in a safe and timely manner. Promoting a team culture of continuous improvement and innovation, including cost saving initiatives Communicate issues that impact the planned work and extend equipment downtimes Develop systems so that all maintenance personnel and contractors are effectively managed to ensure site requirements are maintained and planned scope of work/work instructions are used to maximize safe productivity. The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a 7/7 roster and can allow for a residential, DIDO or FIFO lifestyle. Employees living residentially may have access to a $15,000 housing allowance and may have the ability to salary sacrifice up to 50% of rental payments.
About you: Focus on Leadership, people, integrity, excellence, customer focus safety and sustainability Hold a Trade or Tertiary Qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline Minimum of 3 years demonstrated leadership capability in a similar role Experience in applying best practice maintenance techniques to optimise equipment availability Experience with Hitachi & CAT Excavators, Reich, CAT & Epiroc drills, dozers, T282, EH4000 & 789 haul trucks, ancillary equipment.
