Sixa Resources is currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor Mobile Equipment to join our newly established site team at our Frances Creek Mining Operation. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play an integral role in partnering with our leaders and management to help improve the effectiveness of the business and site operations.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise staff undertaking a range of maintenance tasks requiring the application of established work practices and procedures. Develop site-specific work practices and procedures to safely and efficiently undertake maintenance activities. Manage day-to-day maintenance activities. Monitor progress of works to ensure a standard of completion is maintained. Plan and report on maintenance works. Forward plan and improve maintenance projects and workplace procedures. Operate the Base Plan system and site-based maintenance management tools. Coordinate logistics, inventory, workshop assets, consumables, and accurate ordering of spare parts. Prioritise jobs and maintenance programme schedules. Develop monthly, weekly, and daily schedules for all maintenance work. Develop shutdown plans for equipment, parts, and personnel. Organise inductions, permits, and approvals required to complete work on site. Update component details in the Maintenance Management System upon job completion. Manage stock in line with a 3-month schedule. Chair weekly/monthly planning and review meetings. Build and maintain relationships with employees, suppliers, and customers. Ensure statutory compliance tasks are up to date across the fleet. Communicate effectively with offsite maintenance teams regarding fleet health and major works. Manage subcontractor engagement and coordinate site access. The successful applicant will be required to have: Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Trade Certificate with a minimum of 5 years post-trade qualification experience. 3+ years' experience in a similar role. A very high standard of work, demonstrated by past experience. The ability to prioritise critical work paths in a fast-paced environment. An understanding of competing priorities in an operational environment. Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task. Sound experience with IT applications including Microsoft Office. Ability to run reports, audit documentation, and adhere to procedures. Strong collaboration skills with team members and suppliers. A current motor vehicle license; HR or HC licenses are well regarded. Employment references should be from recent roles relevant to the position.
