Boss Energy is a publicly listed company which recently became Australia's newest uranium producer. Boss Energy owns the Honeymoon uranium mine in South Australia, which is fully licensed for uranium exports of up to 3.3mlb and is run by an industry experienced team of mining professionals. With the recent purchase of a 30% stake in the Alta Mesa Uranium Project in South Texas USA, Boss Energy has reaffirmed its vision to become a global uranium supplier.
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities at our Honeymoon Uranium Mine. The main objective of the role is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of all equipment, reduce downtime, and optimize equipment availability by efficiently managing the maintenance team while promoting safe work practices.
The role will be FIFO from Adelaide charter terminal direct to the Honeymoon mine site on an 8:6 roster. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the maintenance activities at the Honeymoon uranium projectEnsure the reliable and safe operation of all equipment, minimizing downtime, and maximizing equipment availabilityDevelop and implement a maintenance plan, including preventative and corrective maintenance activities, to ensure the reliability of equipment and minimize downtimeCoordinate maintenance activities with other departments to optimize production and minimize disruptionsManage a team of multi discipline maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and coaching as neededMaintain Training records and required training implemented or refreshed as required.Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and policiesMonitor and report on maintenance performance metrics, including equipment uptime and maintenance costsParticipate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions as neededDevelop and maintain relationships with equipment suppliers and vendors to ensure timely access to spare parts and technical supportPerformance in executing accountabilities for safe work behaviour and the safety of others. For example: implementation of safety standards, plan work without compromising safety, actively work to eliminate risks, active involvement in safety meetings and safety initiativesAbout You You will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Australian Trade Qualification in a Mechanical/ Electrical or related fieldAt least 5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in the mining industryStrong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a teamSound understanding of maintenance equipment and processesStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex issuesExcellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersWillingness to work in remote locations and to work flexible hours as neededWhat We Offer We take pride in fostering a supportive team environment that values collaboration and professional growth.
