The RoleReporting to the Australian Operations Manager, you will be responsible for efficient maintenance & repair work (mechanical & electrical) of facilities & plant equipment, managing a team of two direct reports – from review of plant maintenance issues, troubleshooting to determine the best resolution regarding time & cost.
ResponsibilitiesAccountability for all maintenance and repairLead efforts to upgrade plant/facility for efficiency, safety & reliabilityPlant regulatory requirementsMaintenance/knowledge of injection moulding machines, their ancillaries & robotsOversee General contractors – manage visits and equipment maintenance schedulesResponsible for site infrastructure & facilities maintenanceIn conjunction with QA Manager prepare and update ISO proceduresParticipate & manage ISO auditResponsible for upkeep of spare parts management systemDevelop & maintain Plant/Equipment preventative maintenance programSupport Production with small jigs & fixturesResponsible for safe & tidy workshopLead projects involving commissioning, installation, modification or renovation of plant & equipmentCollaboration with Engineers & suppliers on jobs to be completed by outside contractorsControl costs, scheduling & development of maintenance activitiesManage supplies, purchases & budgetOn call emergency repairs outside regular hoursSkills & ExperienceStrong commitment to WH&SFamiliarity with automation system controls & PLC programming – Siemens / UnitronicsStrong knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical systems – speed drives SEW, Festo pneumatics, hydraulicsExcellent communication, interpersonal and coordination skillsProactive approach with high attention to detail & proven ability to multi-taskUnderstand manufacturing & industrial breakdowns, related to injection moulding machines & fault findingUse of Word/ExcelQualificationsFull Electrical Supervisors LicenceForklift LicenceTrade QualificationBenefitsInclusive company cultureWork close to home on the Northern BeachesParking available & close to public transportGenerous Salary + super + 5% bonusIf you feel you have the skills and background to fulfil this role please send your resume to or call Helen on 9905 3566 for more information.
