ABOUT THE ROLE
Thiess are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for a permanent employment opportunity working on our Caval Ridge coal mining project, located 6km from Moranbah. In this role, reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will:
Provide maintenance planning and scheduling to support of the project's trucks and ancillary fleet short term planning activities
Liaise with the Brisbane based team to manage and schedule the long term maintenance requirements for all HME
Be responsible for ensuring all equipment remains compliant in the site Contractor management system
Be responsible for the management of equipment onboarding and off-boarding in the CMS and Thiess systems
Manage review and adjust the maintenance strategies in line with Thiess procedures to maintain a reliable and productive operation of the heavy mining and ancillary equipment
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with key internal and external clients. You will also have:
Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications
Minimum Two years' experience in a maintenance planning / Scheduling role
Experience in plant management and document control systems specifically JDE and Sharepoint
Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling & asset management functions
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Project skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
