About The Job We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Officer to join our Tassal team working on the night shift. As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our machinery and equipment at our Huonville processing site. Reporting to the maintenance manager, this role will suit a proactive, hands-on enthusiastic person who takes pride in their work and sets themselves high standards. This role will have you completing preventative maintenance and breakdowns as necessary while with minimum downtime always working towards continuous improvement.
This position is a Sunday to Thursday roster working the night shift and will participate in the On Call Roster. (Approx 6-week rotation)
Duties Can Include Conducting regular maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectivelyDiagnosing and repairing faults and breakdowns in machinery and equipmentResponding to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtimeEnsuring all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner whilst adhering to all safety regulations and proceduresCommunicating with the production team to schedule maintenance work and minimize downtimeAbout You Qualified Maintenance Fitter or similar mechanical tradePrevious experience as a Maintenance Fitter or a similar roleExperience working with a production/processing environmentFMCG background (desirable)Electrical (or restricted electrical) license (desirable)Respond to machinery breakdowns efficientlyStrong communication skillsWho are we?
