The opportunity The Royal Freemasons community is looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Officer to join our team working full time across two Residential Aged Care Facilities in Footscray and Taylors Lakes.
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring all planned and corrective maintenance is carried out in a safe, effective and timely manner within Royal Freemasons' Residential Aged Care facilities.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong background in general maintenance and repair tasks, demonstrating a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
You will have excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience in maintenance and grounds duties, preferably in an aged care environmentStrong practical skills across maintenance disciplines, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general repair.Demonstrated experience in ability to plan, organise and prioritise work, in an environment with multiple and conflicting demands.Other requirements It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
All aged care workers must be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and are encouraged to receive the Flu-Vaccine.
All successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
