Maintenance Officer

We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Officer for our maintenance team to work at our ANZAC Village in Narrabeen. This role will be to support and manage the team with labouring duties associated with general maintenance activities, to ensure the aged care home is always looking and operating at its very best.
Responsibilities Include Work as part of a dynamic team to provide reactive and planned preventative maintenance within our 4 aged care facilities at our flagship siteWork to established best practise and maintain homes to the highest standardWorking in a Busy team environment with no day the sameWorking alongside contractors where relevant, ensuring all work carried out to compliance requirementsCarrying out General maintenance and repairs; this may include patching & painting, replacing globes and all aspects of basic building maintenanceEnsuring all paperwork, documentation and system processes are adhered toPreferred Attributes Previous experience in a maintenance role, aged care preferable but not necessaryLiaising with contractors including providing access, organising repairs, and supervising when necessaryStrong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail & excellent communication skillsFirst Aid Certificate or willing to obtain this desirableA current NSW driver's licenseAbility to interact with the elderly residents on a day to day basisIt is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid RSL LifeCare Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
