The Opportunity Taringa Parkside Retirement Living is a leisurely retirement living community located in the prestigious inner-city suburb of Taringa and home to 130+ independent living villas & apartments.
The village boasts wonderful amenities such as an indoor pool, walking paths & gardens, BBQ area and a gym.
As our new Maintenance Officer, you'll work closely with our small team of staff and residents to ensure the overall village is maintained and presentable for all to enjoy.
You'll attend to light maintenance tasks around the village and in resident villas, complete groundskeeping tasks and be a friendly face around the village.
This role is perfect for someone who considers themself 'handy' around the house!
This is a permanent part-time opportunity working Monday-Friday 9-3pm (days & times negotiable) What we offer $30.75/hr + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances + superannuation All tools, systems training and equipment provided Employee Referral Program and Employee Assistance Program Discounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providers Opportunities for further career progression Be part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living community You will You will attend to various maintenance requests to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, staff and others (e.g painting, patching, changing light bulbs etc.)
Oversee maintenance work undertaken by contractors within the community Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community (e.g daily pool checks, high-pressure cleaning and bins etc.)
Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team!
Please note - this is not a gardening role, we have contractors in place!
