For 10+ years, Wood has held a Maintenance contract at Lytton and has been heavily embedded into the Ampol culture, with a strong focus on team alignment across the contracting teams.
As a Maintenance Mechanical Fitter - Leading Hand you will: Perform mechanical fitter duties and supervise mechanical team in a manner that protects safety, health, and the environment whilst conforming to quality and time requirements.
Always ensure good housekeeping habits and maintain a safe worksite for yourself and fellow workers.
Be a fully qualified/indentured mechanical tradesperson in one of the following disciplines: Fitter, Fitter and Turner, Motor Mechanic, diesel mechanic.
Demonstrate a minimum of one year oil and gas industry experience.
Work independently as well as lead a team of qualified and experienced Mechanical trades.
In addition to the qualifications of level 6, demonstrate the ability and proficiency in Hydrostatic/pneumatic testing of pipe work and equipment, and reinstate as per P&IDs.
Demonstrate the ability to perform pump alignment and proficient use of equipment including laser alignment and dial indicators.
Be computer literate with intermediate level experience with MS Office.
Have successfully completed a supervisory training course.
Exhibit excellent people skills.
Show flexibility to handle variable timeframes with exceptional time management skills.
Maintain sober habits and a high level of emotional intelligence.
