Alongside the wines, the estate offers an exquisite culinary journey, crafting an authentic and memorable Tasmanian food and wine experience.Exclusively you, come as you areKey position in our premium wineryPermanent full time opportunityThe Maintenance Manager is directly accountable for the delivery of all aspects of maintenance activities across Josef Chromy winery, vineyard and hospitality operations, within defined budget parameters.You will be responsible for covering breakdown repairs, carrying out preventive maintenance programs and assisting in the engineering management of the vineyard, winery and restaurant plant and equipment, as well as the process infrastructure to enable the production of high-quality wines.Here's a taste of what you can expect in the role:Respond and resolve, in a timely and efficient manner, all hazards and breakdowns of JCW equipment and property.Develop and maintain a comprehensive register of JCW equipment and property and their maintenance records.Plan and design an appropriate Site Maintenance Program for JCW equipment and property with a particular emphasis on a preventative maintenance program.Develop, implement, embed, monitor and report against the Site Maintenance Program.Review, update, develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for key JCW equipment and property.Review, update, develop and maintain best practice startup and shutdown procedures for key JCW equipment and property.Proactively assist with the Quality Assurance program (HACCP/SWA) including responding to audit outcomes in a timely and efficient manner.Monitor WHS performance and immediately report and accurately record any incidents (including near miss) and any uncontrolled hazards that may present risk.Participate in leading WHS initiatives to embed a positive and proactive safety culture within the business area.Liaise and negotiate with external consultants and contractors as required to deliver plant & equipment sourcing or maintenance.Deliver site induction training for visiting contractors and consultants.Proactively oversee contractor and consultant operations to identify improvements and alterations.Negotiate favourable prices with suppliers for the installation of new JCW equipment and property or alterations to existing JCW equipment and property.Liaise with department heads to ensure winery, production, vineyard and hospitality plant and equipment is always operating safely and effectively.Now let's talk about you:3+ years' experience in a similar maintenance management role, exposure to winery operations will be highly regarded.Comfortable and proficient with computer applications including Microsoft/Google suite.Cert III or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering will be highly regarded.Other licences/certifications would be beneficial such as:Forklift licenceMR truck licenceWorking from heights and/or confined spacesElectrical restricted licence.The benefits are good too!An exclusive discount card for BWS, Dan Murphy's, Woolworths, BIG W and other Endeavour Group brands, including our ALH pubs.Monthly meeting-free days.Your health and wellbeing is your most important asset, and as one of our valued team members, it's our first priority.
