THE PROPERTY
The property offers premium rental living experiences across 437 apartments within the one complex. Elevated living experiences are provided through 6-day onsite management, premium resident amenity areas, customer service focus and resident events & engagement program.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance professional to join our team full-time. You will manage the maintenance of apartments, common areas, and the building exterior. As Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all building facilities activities, including preventative and reactive works. A great opportunity to build your people management skills with a part-time handyman reporting to you.
You will work with internal management, external partners, and contractors to maintain high asset quality and presentation. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safety for all employees.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Provide an exceptional customer experience by building strong relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) and ensure a high level of communication by responding to, and actioning, maintenance requests in a timely manner. General repairs such as plumbing, electrical, plant and machinery, light bulb changes, painting, plastering and carpentry. Maintain the highest level of maintenance and compliance, safety and security at all times. Establish systems and procedures to facilitate preventative maintenance programs. Record, report and assist the General Manager to manage all building defects. Assist other staff and residents with training in preventative maintenance and any health and safety issues. Monitoring spare parts stock level & report if low levels. Assist in the formulation of maintenance budgets year on year. Overseeing all apartment turnover activities in line with make-good procedures and timelines. Manage the work of external contractors and provide progress updates to General Manager. Ability and willingness to work both on the tools and administratively. Assist with the development of service contract scopes and tender process. ABOUT YOU
Our ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience in general property and grounds maintenance and repairs (including electrical, plumbing installations and building maintenance) Prior experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance department Understanding of OH&S principles and chemical handling Effective verbal and written communication skills with staff, owners, residents, and contractors National Police Check (completed within last 3 months), at your own cost Unrestricted work rights in Australia Trade qualification as a Mechanical Engineer, Electrician or Plumber (highly desirable) WHAT WE OFFER
