The Director of Business Services is an executive leadership position at Bayview College responsible for upholding the principles of good governance across all financial, business and operational domains.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide strategic business and operational leadership for the effective administration and day-to-day management of the College.
The Director of Business Services has fiduciary and regulatory oversight and is responsible for leading the design, implementation and evaluation of all operational processes, policies and protocols across Administration & Finance, Risk & Compliance, ICT, Capital projects, Property & Resources, OHS, Industrial Relations & Human Resources.
Working closely in collaboration with, and reporting to, the Board and Principal, the Director of Business Services provides technical information and expertise to inform strategic decisions.
The position also fulfils the role of Company Secretary to the College Board.
The successful candidate will have, preferably in a school setting, demonstrable experience: modelling an authentic commitment to the Christian mission and values working collaboratively with the Board and Principal to provide strong and sustainable long-term management of the College, including the development of financial strategies and goals that exemplify exceptional analytical and financial modelling skills inclusively leading, managing, evaluating and refining the development and operation of all activities and reporting systems to ensure the College retains the highest possible standards of accountability, integrity and compliance across all financial, risk, legislative and regulatory frameworks and obligations as a consummate professional and exemplary relational leader who engages others with sincerity, communicates complex technical information with sensitivity, resourcefully solves problems and pro-actively drives improvement to deliver key strategic goals in a timely and effective manner.
The successful applicant will benefit from an attractive five-year executive contract with an option to renew.
Candidates must have a right to work in Australia at the time of application and a tertiary qualification in finance (or related field).
Current accreditation (or a willingness to attain accreditation) as a Company Secretary and the AICD will be advantageous.
