Position Summary Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this varied role would suit someone who is self-motivated, has the ability to prioritise tasks as well as being able to follow direction as needed.
About the Role Basic plumbing system repairs (Cistern valves, tap replacements, toilet seat replacements etc.
) Painting of offices, toilet facilities, yard structures, doors etc. Gyprock repairs Basic electrical maintenance, light globe replacements etc. Minor carpentry work Minor hardstand repairs, repairing cracks in walkways Bus parking wheel stop replacements Cleaning rain gutters & drains as needed Door lock maintenance (lubrication) Office ceiling tile replacements Installing depot safety signage Any repairs that may not require a specialised technician Document daily work completed Health and Safety Responsibilities To be suitable for this role, you will:
Comply with safe work practices, with the intent of avoiding injury to themselves and others and damage to plant and equipment. Take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others. Wear personal protective equipment and clothing where necessary. Comply with any direction given by management for health and safety. Not misuse or interfere with anything provided for health and safety. Report all accidents & incidents on the job immediately, no matter how trivial. Have the physical ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 16kg, and occasionally up to 25kg.
