Primary Accountabilities: Analyse, develop and implement programs for plant optimisationFollow maintenance planning schedules in order to maximise quality production outputMaintain and develop computer driven manufacturing equipment and control systemsApply mechanical solutions to the automatic transfer of material, components or finished goodsProvide assistance and training to plant operators for equipment maintenance and useAssist in developing tests/ fixtures for components and finished productsLiaise with contractors and suppliers.Essential Skills: 2+ years' experience on fixed plant machinery, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Some steel and plate Fabrication experienceAbility to work shifts, inclusive of call back and weekend work (as required)Demonstrated ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic drawingsSome hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding ability.Some welding experience and knowledgeDesirable Skills: Microsoft Windows and other Office programsDogmen ticketForklift licenceHigh risk licence, EWP, working at heights, confined spacePLC and automation knowledgeRestricted electrical licenceAbout Capral Capral is Australia's largest extruder and a leading distributor of aluminium products.
