About the role As a Mechanical Fitter at One Harvest, you will play a crucial role in our fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for undertaking planned preventative and reactive breakdown maintenance, whilst ensuring established health and safety procedures are continually followed.
A day in the life With a safety and quality orientated culture and focus, you'll;Proactively identify & coordinate preventative maintenance across the siteBe responsible for completion of planned maintenance tasks to ensure breakdowns are prioritised to meet production needsProvide technical support & training to machine operators for basic troubleshootingProvide detailed accounts of all work performed and logged in our CMMS (Mex)Investigate plant or equipment deficiencies that lead to out-of-spec finished goodsAssist with ensuring BRC, and other customer standards are metOur ideal candidate will possess the following: Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goalsA proactive and enthusiastic attitude coupled with a great work ethicMechanical Fitter Trade or equivalentSound knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatic systemsRepair, change and improve machinery while ensuring principles of HACCP & GMP are not compromisedStrong fault finding and RCA skills with a proven focus on right first timeAbility to read and understand schematic diagrams and interpret machinery manualsEffective communication skills in speaking with cross functional teams and writing work order reports.Knowledge of basic electrical systems and components is an advantage.Welding, turning, sheet metal fabrication qualifications and skills are highly regardedAbility to work either day or afternoon shift - 76 hours per fortnight.Ideally have automation experience, although not essentialGrow with OH An opportunity to advance your skills and capability working alongside industry professionalsA genuine career path for goal oriented peopleA collaborative team environment with a dynamic company in a high-growth sectorThe chance to contribute to a company that is making a real difference in the lives of AustraliansWhat we are proud of One Harvest are industry leaders in the Fresh Food/ FMCG industry with more than 25 years of experience.
