Maintenance Fitter - Athol Park

An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Fitter to join the Opal Athol Park team reporting to the Engineering Manager.
The role will be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance across the plant in a safe, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
The Maintenance Fitter role includes but is not limited to: Carrying out all site maintenance and corrective tasks to ensure reliability of plant and equipment which includes; Timely/effective closeout of all work orders supported by relevant feedback, information, and other reports as required.
Planning own maintenance activities without supervision.
Following safe work practices at all times.
Promptly attend breakdowns and resolve operational or technical problems to minimize business interruptions resulting from equipment breakdowns/failures.
Provide troubleshooting expertise as required.
Perform modification work as well as general facility maintenance.
Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and assist in the development of job procedures as required, which includes; Participating in projects as directed.
Actively participate in the development & implementation of modern maintenance, reliability systems, and practices.
Supervise apprentices as required.
Provide reasonable support/supervision outside of normal working hours as required.
