Main Purpose: The Maintenance Coordinator supports the Terminal Manager to manage the delivery of safe and efficient operations of the Townsville Bitumen Facility. Including, but not limited to, coordinating planned preventative maintenance, executing breakdown maintenance activities and cost control.This role provides leadership to the Townsville terminal staff and contractors to ensure operations and maintenance are conducted safely and efficiently, whilst meeting statutory requirements and Puma Energy standards, including maintaining Level 3 SAPS compliance.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:MaintenanceLead all maintenance activity for the Townsville facility, including but not limited to:Execution of the planned maintenance work schedule;Supervise all breakdown maintenance as it occurs, including managing maintenance contractors;Operate and maintain Puma's CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System);Identify, scope and document future maintenance works for the sites;Ensure Townsville facilities maintenance tasks and duties are carried out in accordance with the Puma SAPS system;Manage contractors to Puma SAPS requirements and site requirements;Write, develop and maintain procedures, work instructions and provide MOC and Operational Analysis for works on site;Manage the Permit to Work system as required for day to day maintenance and works;Supervise the overhaul of major components on site and prepare components as required for shipment to external suppliers;Procure equipment as required using the Purchase Order system; andPerform after-hours callouts for production critical breakdowns and maintenance activities.Support the Terminal Manager in facility maintenance management, including:Ensure the Terminal continues to comply with relevant Australian standards and other regulatory requirements to meet our legal operating obligations;Supervise Terminal major work upgrades and planned equipment TAR/Shutdowns;Plan future maintenance actions, goods and services, labour, skills, tools and equipment required to complete works safely and efficiently;Schedule short and long term planned work required to be carried out at the required intervals, considering operational constraints and available resources;Maintain work areas, tooling and equipment to an appropriate standard;Accurately recording all work-related history information and costs;Maintain control over critical spares to minimise loss and down time; andAll other duties as directed by your Manager.Operations / Plant ReliabilitySupport the Terminal Manager to manage operations to be safe and reliable, including:Minimise the impact of equipment breakdowns by quickly trouble-shooting problems and implementing effective solutions;Support the reliable operation of the site control system and automated gantry loading systems to ensure safe, efficient plant operation, including technical support and diagnosis of system faults to minimise downtime;Maintain strong relationships with Customers and Internal stakeholders (Sales, Supply and Customer Service) to communicate supply issues;Hold wharf attendant and shore officer accreditation to be able to perform duties as leave coverage; andEnsure all maintenance documentation and filing systems are maintained and up to date, including Specification Sheets, Vendor Manuals, P&IDs, Maintenance plans etc.Work Health and SafetyAs a leader, support site compliance with all statutory requirements with respect to health, safety and the environment. This will include the following:Assist in Townsville Bitumen maintaining a SAPS Rating of Level 3Proactive management of health, safety and environment issuesFull use of HSE reporting system to monitor, control and investigate incidentsEnsure systems in place to meet Environmental licence requirementsEnsure site holds current licences and that licence conditions are met.Ensure all terminal tasks and duties are carried out in accordance with Puma SAPS and apply the SAPS employee responsibilities;Execute Risk Assessments, Permit to Works and Work Instruction as required;Ensure risk assessments, permit to works, work instructions and procedures are followed for safe operation and maintenance related to Terminal operations;Observe and enforce a safe working environment within HSE guidelines and monitoring the wearing of correct PPE in accordance with safety procedures;Review and implement Housekeeping standards, detecting and reporting on hazards as they arise and participating in Group Safety meetings;Represent the site operators in safety reviews and practices (HAZOPS etc.);Ensure personal wellbeing to reduce health risks; andPerform training & assessing in procedures and maintenance activities, as authorised.CapexManage those Capex projects delegated by the Terminal Manager including:Preparing cost estimates and proposal documents;Arranging proper engineering designs where required;Deliver construction to meet time and cost plans; andEnsuring all work that is carried out is compliant with Puma and Australian StandardsFinancialMonitor operations and maintenance to ensure costs and expenditure are minimised and remain within budgetLeadership/Team DevelopmentLead and develop staff to grow capability and competence while fostering proactive teamwork with other groups.Provide coverage for the Terminal Manager when required;Assign tasks and review in accordance with SAPS requirements;Manage own performance and mentor team members;Celebrate success within the team;Contribute to the development of a positive cultureKey Relationships and Department Overview:Internal: Facility Operations & Support Staff, HSE, Business Managers, Customer Service Team, Sales & Commercial Team; Engineering / Project Team, IT and Finance. External: Contractors, Port Authority, Customers, Government Regulators, Community, Emergency Services.
