Maintenance Assistant

Port Macquarie Panthers are seeking a motivated and hardworking Team Member to join their dedicated and busy Maintenance Team.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for energetic and reliable candidate to join our Maintenance team on a Part-Time Permanent basis as a Maintenance Assistant. Assisting the team in the general maintenance and upkeep of the club, onsite training will be provided as you partake in a variety of handyman activities within the club. You will enjoy being part of a supportive team that is constantly looking for opportunities to improve and take great satisfaction in a job well done.

Enjoying various tasks, your main duties will include, however are not limited to Assisting with the set up and pack of down of functions; Assisting numerous tradesmen and the maintenance team in various tasks; Keeping work areas and amenities clean at all times and; Ensuring compliance with all Workplace Health and Safety and WorkCover requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following: Strong commitment and passion to developing your skills within the maintenance industry; A strong work ethic, works well in a team environment and is conscientious of others; Be reliable and have a positive attitude; Highly motivated individual who shows initiative in the workplace; Ability to work well under pressure and be self-sufficient to complete tasks within the set timeframes; Possess strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work; Current Drivers Licence; A good level of physical fitness as the role contains consistent and continuous lifting, moving and pushing and; Previous handyman/trade assistant experience would be advantageous.
You will be punctual, have a strong work ethic and a positive and happy attitude to work. You are required to be flexible and reliable as you will need to be available to work as required including nights, weekends and public holidays.
