About You Patrician Brothers College Fairfield is seeking an enthusiastic groundskeeper to undertake general and maintenance work to ensure a clean, orderly safe environment that enables enhanced student learning outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate the ability to: prioritise and complete allocated work plans such as assisting with cleaning and repairs as a result of student accidents, extreme weather, or acts of vandalism etc plan and organise workflow to accomplish established objectives follow chemical usage and storage procedures move items of furniture and classroom supplies around the College and assist with setting up equipment for sporting and other special College events complete daily security routines (e.g.
opening the College, disable the alarm system) and safety inspections of the College promote a positive image of the College in all interactions plan, execute and schedule maintenance of the College's physical appearance such as gardens, paths and signage undertake minor repairs or replacements as required, including tap washers, light bulbs, plastering, painting and basic carpentry identify and report any risks to the College leadership team and comply with WHS standards to ensure compliance supervise contractors.
Desirable criteria: previous experience in a school environment qualifications in a relevant trade.
