Mainframe Database Tech Lead

Canberra, ACT - Hybrid/2days WFH NV1 Security clearance mandatory SQL, z/OS, Db2, SAP HANA, ObjectStar, IMS Our client, a large Federal Government department whose purpose is to support Australians by efficiently delivering high-quality, accessible services and payments on behalf of the government, is seeking an experienced Mainframe Database Tech Lead to join their team. This is an EL1 equivalent role. Key responsibilities: Provide advice and guidance to the DB Operations team and to Service Operations Branch management on a broad range of database subject matter; Provide ongoing support for the migration of the SAP workloads from Oracle to Db2 on Z/OS; Support the rollout of the IBM Mainframe tool set for maintenance and monitoring of the DB2 Z/OS environment; Provide advice and implementation of system parameter changes to support both legacy and SAP database systems. Criteria: 5+ years of Mainframe Database Administration experience; 5+ years of experience with IBM Db2 tools (Recovery expert, clone tool etc.); 5+ years of experience with monitoring and diagnostics using Omegamon and query monitor; Demonstrated experience with rolling out maintenance for Db2 across mainframe systems; Demonstrated experience with z/OS interfaces (ISPF, REXX, JCL etc.); Understanding of z/OS software installation methodologies (SMP/E etc.).
