About the opportunity We are seeking a proactive and ideas-driven Senior HR/IR Business Partner to join a dynamic team in Brisbane. This role supports the company's eastern region, covering Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria offices.
With a strong focus on supporting a blue-collar workforce, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, promoting employee engagement, and partnering with leadership to achieve operational strategies and goals.
Reporting to the General Manager - People & Culture, you will be working closely with the Eastern Region business unit managers providing expert advice and support across a range of HR, industrial relations, and people and culture functions including:
Conducting workplace investigations, while ensuring investigations are conducted confidentially, impartially, and in compliance with legislative and organisational standards.Acting as a trusted advisor to line managers and staff ensuring compliance with Fair Work Act provisions. Coaching and supporting these line managers in employee relations and industrial relations issues. Assist with mitigating risks by offering proactive and practical advice.Building and maintaining strong relationships with unions and employee representatives. Supporting divisional heads with the preparation of enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs).Delivering training and development initiatives to upskill teams. Helping to drive a positive high-performing and inclusive work environment.Partnering with divisional general managers and the CEO to provide strategic and operational advice on employee engagement and performance, organisational change, and workplace culture initiatives.To be successful in this role you will have: 5+ years' experience in a similar roleDegree qualified in Human Resources, or Business-related disciplinesKnowledge of industrial relations and regulatory environmentStrong understanding of labour laws and regulationsKnowledge of HR systems and practicesHR Management experience in an industrial services sector environment such as Mining & Resources, Large Scale Manufacturing or Operations and MaintenanceStrong internal customer relationship skills, strong communication and team approachExemplary organisational skills and attention to detailIn return, we offer an exciting opportunity to join a business that is experiencing rapid growth and continued leadership.
